In Blood in the Water Captain Dupont convinces Contre-Admiral Raoul Laborde to stop SMS Amerika where he abducts Adar, Sandra Tucker Reddy, and others. He also sinks SMS Amerika. when Kapitan Adler Von Melhausen takes command and attempts to ram Savoie. Later at Zanzibar Capitine de Fregate Victor Gravois removes him from command and gives Savoie to the Japanese for exceeding his orders from the League of Tripoli. Gravois later presents apologies and gives a tissue of lies to Captain Matthew Reddy, however 300 Alliance survivors contradict them.

In Devil's Due he commands Savoie her rudder jammed by one of Walker's torpedoes she runs aground. He is killed by Becker Lange who chokes him to death before scumming to multiple gunshots.

He may be League Origin World counterpart of real admiral Jean de Laborde, pioneer of French naval aviation, known for scuttling the Vichy fleet in Tulon in 1942.
